Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, students should be able to:
- Apply basic principles of California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology Act and Regulations.
- Recognize the importance of skin care related sciences.
- Describe the differences between sanitation, disinfection, and sterilization.

Completion of esthetician courses (each with a grade of 鈥淐鈥 or better) entitles the student to the Esthetician certificate and eligibility for the State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology licensing exam. Transfer students possessing eligible esthetician hours of applied effort will be placed in the appropriate section with the approval of the department chair.
