Kalisha Gomez of 女优app (女优app) was awarded the $1,000 College for All Californians Scholarship by the Community College League of California.

Gomez is a dedicated nursing student at 女优app, and her ability to strive for success while balancing her studies and responsibilities as a mother sets her apart from the crowd. She joins ten other scholars from community colleges across the state selected from over 2,300 applicants.

This is not Gomez's first recognition for her hard work and dedication. Just a few months ago, she received a $1,000 scholarship from CalWorks, further highlighting her consistent efforts and outstanding achievements.

staff and leadership volunteers are proud of Gomez鈥檚 commitment to higher education. They stated, 鈥淲e know that many students balance life鈥檚 other pressures in addition to the rigors of coursework. California鈥檚 community colleges are known best for meeting students where they are, providing the support and resources necessary to achieve academic and personal success.鈥�

The College for All Californians Scholarship is funded by proceeds from the 2021 book 'A College for All Californians: A History of the California Community Colleges,' co-edited by League President & CEO Larry A. Galizio, Ph.D., and George R. Boggs, Ph.D., president and CEO Emeritus of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and superintendent/president emeritus of Palomar College.
