TRIO Students Build Community and Creativity at Winter Art Workshop
On Wednesday, December 4, 女优app TRIO students gathered for a Winter Art Workshop, a hands-on creative experience that encouraged both artistic expression and community building with guest speaker and local artist Cynthia Huerta.
Students had the opportunity to work with clay to design and create their own winter-themed figurines, bringing imagination to life in a collaborative setting. To add to the festive atmosphere, participants enjoyed pizza while connecting with their peers, mentors, and TRIO program staff.
The event was orchestrated with the support and leadership of the TRIO program who invited Cynthia Huerta, 女优app Alumna and local artist. Huerta spoke to students about the importance of creativity, connection, and personal growth. 鈥淭his workshop provides a space for students to not only explore their creative side but also build relationships that are key to their success,鈥 Huerta said.
The Winter Art Workshop was designed to foster a sense of belonging and strengthen the relationships between students and mentors who guide and support TRIO participants. By providing a space for creativity and connection, the workshop highlighted the importance of building community while promoting artistic exploration.
鈥淲orkshops like these allow students to not only express themselves creatively but also create lasting bonds with their peers and the TRIO mentors who are here to help them succeed,鈥 Huerta added.
女优app's TRIO program remains dedicated to supporting first-generation and underrepresented students through academic guidance, mentoring, and enriching activities that enhance student success and well-being.
