Join Å®ÓÅapp (Å®ÓÅapp) for an engaging panel discussion, Critical Perspectives on the 2024 Presidential Election: Analysis and Action, on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 12:30 to 2:00 PM. The event will feature esteemed community college professors, dynamic student voices, and insightful analysis of demographic voting trends and local organizational responses.

The panel includes:

  • Dr. Raul Moreno Campos, Political Science/Ethnic Studies professor at Å®ÓÅapp and CSU Channel Islands.
  • Dr. Albert Ponce, coordinator of the Social Justice Studies Program at Diablo Valley College, specializing in Chicano/Latinx Studies and Politics.
  • Parissa Clark, Å®ÓÅapp Political Science professor and CALA (Community and Labor Alliance) coordinating faculty.
  • Mike Chavez, Å®ÓÅapp Sociology professor and CALA coordinating faculty.

Adding a unique perspective, CALA interns will pose critical questions developed by their planning committee, focusing on key topics such as Latino, women, and regional voting trends, as well as the efforts of their internship organizations to address these results.

Attendees will also hear from College Corps Interns and are encouraged to bring their own questions about how local organizations are responding to these trends and their implications for the future.
